Terms and Conditions
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or place an order.
These Terms apply to consumers in Egypt in accordance with Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its Executive Regulations.
1. Eligibility
By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or are placing the order with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
2. Products, Pricing, and Customization
2.1. Ylights make every effort to display our products, descriptions, and prices accurately. Minor variations in color or finish may occur due to screen display or natural material variation.
2.2. All prices are listed in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes, in accordance with applicable law.
2.3. Ylights reserve the right to modify prices or discontinue any product at any time without prior notice. Price changes will not affect any order that has already been confirmed.
2.4. Ylights products are manufactured to order based on the specifications available on the website (including size and color selections from our available collection) or, where offered, additional customization requested through our Custom & Design service.
2.5. Where a price varies based on a selected size, color, or customization, the final price will be confirmed with you before your order is production-confirmed.
3. Orders and Payment
3.1. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Your order is considered accepted once confirmed by our team.
3.2. You may modify or cancel your order, free of charge, within 48 hours of placing it.
3.3. Ylights accept the following payment methods: cash on delivery, and debit/credit card payment through the website. Card payments are accepted only at the time of placing the order and are not available at the time of delivery.
3.4. For orders above a value threshold set by Ylights, a deposit is required to confirm and begin production of the order. The deposit is payable via InstaPay or bank transfer. The remaining balance is due upon delivery and may be paid in cash, via InstaPay, or by bank transfer.
3.5. If payment is declined, incomplete, or reversed for any reason, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel the order until payment is resolved.
3.6. An invoice will be issued for every order, in accordance with applicable law.
4. Manufacturing, Shipping, and Delivery
4.1. orders typically begins once your order is confirmed and takes approximately 7–10 business days
4.2. Ylights currently deliver to the following governorates: Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Alexandria, the North Coast, Ismailia, Suez, the Red Sea, and Hurghada. Please confirm delivery availability to your area with our team before ordering if you are located elsewhere.
4.4. If you are unavailable at the scheduled delivery time, our courier will attempt to contact and reschedule with you. If delivery cannot be completed after three attempts, the order will be returned to us and a new order will need to be placed.
4.5. Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to courier availability, location, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control
5. Delivery Inspection, Returns, and Exchanges
5.1. Because Ylights products are manufactured to order according to specifications you select at checkout, they fall within the "customized goods" exception to the standard right of return under Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181/2018, and its Executive Regulations. Accordingly, the return process for Ylights products differs from standard off-the-shelf retail, as set out below.
5.2. You have the right, and are encouraged, to inspect your product at the time of delivery — before signing the delivery receipt — to confirm it is free of defects or damage and matches your order.
5.3. If the product is damaged, incomplete, or does not match your order, you may refuse the delivery at that time.
If you have already paid in full or in part, you will receive a refund of the amount paid, minus shipping costs, within 10 business days of the refused delivery.
If you refuse a delivery that is otherwise free of defect and matches your order, the shipping fee for that delivery is payable by you.
5.4. Once a product has been inspected and accepted at delivery (i.e., the delivery receipt is signed), it is not eligible for return or exchange, as the product has been manufactured to your specifications.
5.5. This section does not affect your rights regarding manufacturing defects covered under our warranty (Section 7), which apply after delivery is accepted.
5.6. Manufacturing Defects Within 14 Days of Receipt
If a manufacturing defect is identified after receiving the product, you may request a return or exchange within 14 days of the delivery date.
This 14-day return or exchange right applies to manufacturing defects only.
It does not cover damage resulting from misuse or improper use of the product.
6. Warranty
6.1. Ylights products carry a 3-year warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects only.
6.2. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper handling, unauthorized repair or modification, normal wear and tear, or use of an incompatible bulb or electrical supply.
6.3. To make a warranty claim, contact us via WhatsApp or email with your order number and a description (and photos, where applicable) of the issue.
6.4. This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory guarantee available to you under applicable Egyptian consumer protection law.
7. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government action, strikes, transportation disruptions, or supply-chain shortages. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimize the impact on your order.
8. Intellectual Property
All designs, product names, images, logos, and content on this website are the property of Ylights or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Custom designs developed for a specific customer through our Design Hub remain subject to a separate agreement with that customer where applicable. You may not reproduce, copy, or use our designs or content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your personal data and will not share it with third parties except as necessary to complete shipping, payment, and delivery of your order, or as required by law. By using our website, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ylights shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of our products.
10.2. Except in cases of gross negligence, willful misconduct, or personal injury or property damage caused by a proven manufacturing defect, our aggregate liability in connection with any order is limited to the value of the product purchased.
10.3. Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181/2018 or other applicable mandatory law.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
11.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its Executive Regulations.
11.2. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your order will first be addressed through our customer service team. If unresolved, either party may refer the matter to the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency or the competent Egyptian courts, without prejudice to your right to pursue any other legal remedy available to you.
